BIG PUSSY

Big Pussy

BIGGER PUSSY

John Boehner, crying

What makes the difference?  Balls.  And our speaker of the house lacks them.  Look, it's okay to show emotion, genuine emotion. We can almost applaud a man who's in touch with all of his thoughts, feelings, gut instincts. But what we're seeing right now is a lack of all things that separate man from rock. Most of all, a brain.

The Soprano's Big Pussy never backed down from a fight. He never copped out to formalities. You needed something done, Big Pussy was your man. He could generally be trusted. Even when against great odds.

Now for Bigger Pussy. What's his problem? Simple. He's afraid of his shadow. He's a conspiracy theorist who thinks his own party is out to get him. Well they're not. A fringe fraction of his party raises their voices and he goes crying into the night.

The amazing part about the destruction of the Republican party is that it's coming from inside it's ranks. It's like a coup. A few zealots band together to overthrow their leadership. They're motivated by the thinking that the current leadership is weak and not doing what the fringe wants. Hell with what's best for the masses. It's what's best for the "chosen few."

Recently Boehner made it clear that he would not even bring up Immigration reform. His justification is the Hastert Rule. Now let's get something straight. There is no rule called the Hastert Rule. It's a fictional excuse for not doing your job. If a majority of the majority don't favor a bill, just bury it.

It's artificial.  It's an excuse.  It's not a binding.  And who said so?  John Boehner as recently as April 11, 2013.

Speaker of the House, John Boehner dismissed the “Hastert Rule” at a press conference Thursday, saying it was “never a rule to begin with.”

Boehner has violated this bogus mandate a multiple times since the start of this Congress, most notably in the first month, when legislation to avert the fiscal cliff and relief for victims of Hurricane Sandy passed with only help from Democrats and with only a minority of Republicans voting in favor of the legislation.

Asked if he would violate the Hastert Rule to bring legislation on guns, immigration, or dealing with the debt problem to the floor, Boehner brushed off the idea that the rule was an impediment. “It was never a rule to begin with,” Boehner said, “and certainly, my prerogative and my intention is to always pass bills with strong Republican support.”

Okay, so we got that out of the way.  It's not a rule.  Boehner's ignored it in the past.  So why now is he going back on his word now and saying the he will "invoke the Hastert rule" when A: it doesn't exist and B: he's violated it before?

The answer is pure and simple. Cowardice. He's a pussy. So as not to impugn the great reputation of THE Big Pussy, we'll henceforth refer to Boner as the Bigger Pussy, the leader of the gang that couldn't shoot straight.
